Sanjeev Kumar

Sanjeev Kumar G, has more than 24 years of experience and is a Certified Financial Planner for last 13 years.

Sanjeev Kumar founded Progno Financial Planning Systems (P) Ltd, a Fintech company focussed in Digital Financial Advisory services, in 2012. It is the first SEBI Registered Investment Adviser company in the state of Kerala. He is currently Managing Director and Principal Financial Planner of the company.

The company owns which is an automated online financial planning platform for individuals. The company, a NASSCOM member, is recognised as a Start Up by DIPP and is funded by KSIDC. The company is a winner of HOT 100 Technology 2017 awards constituted by Centre Of Recognition & Excellence in association with KPMG.

From 2009 to 2012 he worked in JRG Securities Ltd, Cochin as Head of Operations & Technology and Director of Insurance broking.

Before that, from 2006 to 2009 he worked in New Delhi as Executive Vice President & COO at Bajaj Capital Ltd. There he established financial planning practice by building the team as well developing the financial planning software. There he managed preparation of more than 35000 financial plans.

Before joining Bajaj Capital, from 2002 to 2006 he worked as Product Manager in AdviceAmerica Inc, US based financial planning software company. He was instrumental in building their flagship financial planning software “Advisor Vision”, which was ranked as the best financial planning software by “Forrester Research” in 2005.

Prior to that he worked as research analyst in India Syndicate and Asian CERC.

An ICFAI Business School alumni of 1998 batch, and one of the first persons to get the CFP certification from India as early as in 2005, Sanjeev Kumar is an ardent proponent and a pioneer in FEE ONLY FINANCIAL PLANNING in India. He is an International Affiliate member of National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), USA and a member of Financial Planners Association (FPA).

He authored the first book on financial planning in malayalam titled “Dhanikanakaan Oru Margarekha” published by Malayala Manorama. He has written several articles on newspapers and magazine about various aspects of financial planning.
